ETERNAL VIGILANCE Available for Pre-Order!
April 01, 2008
by Deep Throat
Fear Zone contributing writer Gabrielle Faust's first novel, Eternal Vigilance, is now available for pre-order from Immanion Press. Eternal Vigilance is the first installment in a post apocalyptic vampire trilogy. Look for a Fear Zone interview with Gabrielle soon.
Eternal Vigilance
Book One: From Deep Within the Earth
"Eternal Vigilance is the main artery leading to the heart of all vampire stories. Not since Interview With a Vampire has there been a greater tale of the undead. My mouth became dry reading it. My pulse quickened. This book makes you thirsty for bloodlust. Gabrielle Faust is the queen of vampire fiction."
- Eric Enck, Author of Ghost of a Chance & The Reckoning
What if the fate of humanity lay in the hands of one vampire?
After a century-long Sleep, Tynan Llywelyn has awoken to find the world he once knew utterly obliterated by a brutal war of epic proportions. In a new apocalyptic society bitterly divided by magic and technology, the Tyst Empire has found that a hundred years of global domination is not enough to sate their thirst for power. They have discovered the secret of the vampire race and have designed a plan to seize their own sinister form of immortality with the help of an ancient vampiric god. The Phuree, a rebel uprising that has been engaged in a bloody war with the Tyst since the beginning of the new regime, have obtained the knowledge of Lord Cardone's plans and have allied themselves with the remaining Immortal clan. The powerful Phuree oracle, Nahalo, has had a vision that in Tynan alone lies the power to defeat the vampiric god and the dictatorship. Cast in violence and conspiracy into the midst of a global war between magic and technology, mortals and vampires, Tynan must make the harrowing decision to save the world he so bitterly detests or stand and watch as humanity is destroyed by a primordial evil beyond all imagining.
Gabrielle Faust
A proud resident of Austin, Texas, Faust's diverse talents have allowed her to pursue an eclectic career as a graphic designer, author and entertainment critic. 2005 marked the release of her first published collection of poetry, Before Icarus, After Achilles (Publish America), which was received by the public with a great enthusiasm. Faust partnered with Immanion Press in August of 2007 for the publishing of her cross-genre technohorror trilogy Eternal Vigilance, a post-apocalyptic vampire saga of epic proportions due to be released in April of 2008. Faust has been consistently active in a wide array of organizations including the Writers League of Texas, Austin Visual Arts Association, SXSW Festivals and Texas Poetry Society. At the beginning of 2007, she was also elected the Southwestern Regional Representative for the International Order of Horror Professionals and Associate Editor/Art Editor for the quarterly horror publication, "The Bloodied Quill". Faust is also the official North American literary representative for the French gothic horror author Sire C?dric. Her work, as both an author and illustrator, has appeared in The Lightning Journal, GUD Magazine, Doorways Magazine, The Open Vein, Darkened Horizons and The Bloodied Quill, as well as the websites Fear Zone and Fatally Yours.
Outside of the literary world, Faust is also widely recognized in the graphic design community for her creativity. With over ten years of professional experience, including the founding of Faust Productions, a freelance studio offering graphic design and brand development services, as well as public relations and marketing (focusing primarily on the publishing and independent film industries) for an international portfolio of clients. While Faust's main focus currently is the release of the Eternal Vigilance series, she is in constant pursuit of new and exciting opportunities to assist in the marketing and promotion of associated literary, film and artistic associates. In addition to her work as a graphic designer and public relations mediator, Faust also maintains a solid career as an illustrator and canvas artist.
