New ROB ZOMBIE'S HALLOWEEN 2 Poster
It's hard to think of a film I hated more than ROB ZOMBIE'S HALLOWEEN, and yet I am strangely nonplussed about this sequel, which is not a remake of Richard Rosenthal's John Carpenter-produced HALLOWEEN 2, but an entirely new film that should set Zombie free creatively. As much as the original HALLOWEEN remains a classic, I didn't like any of the sequels (although I considered 2 and H20 watchable).

While I'm certainly not looking forward to the film, I am looking forward to its release on August 28th. You see, ROB ZOMBIE'S HALLOWEEN was really the first movie we covered on Fear Zone; our site launched on September 2nd, a week after the film opened, and we posted a review of it - our first review - by our Cinema Knife Fight duo of L.L. Soares and Michael Arruda on September 15th. So for me, ROB ZOMBIE'S HALLOWEEN 2 heralds Fear Zone's second anniversary.

Here is the new poster for the film. Strangely enough, it doesn't mention us anywhere!

1. Unlike Freddy or Jason, I was never too interested in the "Halloween" franchise as a series. I really love the first part but I never cared too much about any of the sequels. Maybe I gotta watch 'em again someday, cause it's been ages since I'd seen 'em (and I think there's even some parts left that I've never seen at all so fary) and it happens quite often that I didn't enjoy certain horror flicks the first time I saw 'em but love 'em when I give 'em another chance a few years later... anyway, Rob Zombie's "Halloween" was about the most annoying film I've seen in years. I'm sure the sequel will be better, cause at least Michael's grown-up now and the first half with young Mike and his fucked-up family was by far the worst part the predecessor. Can't say I'm too psyched about the second installment at all but I'm gonna watch it anyway. The poster looks pretty cool, btw...
