LADIES NIGHT Is FREE In Florida!
May 20, 2008
by Deep Throat
If you're going to be anywhere near Tampa, Florida in early June, this is the place to be: 4202 E, Fowler Ave. USF - Hall BEH103. The University Film Video Association at USF, Enigma Films and Hocus Focus Productions welcomes you to the Ladies Night, Double Feature. On Saturday June 7th you are cordially invited to an evening of Independent Filmmaking at USF. Beginning at 6pm you will be able to see sneak peek Screenings of two locally produced Indie films.
ALARUM
Enigma Films presents this special short film starring local actress and model Krista Grotte. The movie centers around a woman (Krista Grotte) who is dealing with an assortment of mental issues resulting from years of sexual abuse. When her defenses begin to break down she finds herself in a struggle for her very life.
SAVAGED
When Maria Longosi (Debbie Rochon) goes into hiding to escape her abusive ex-boyfriend she takes a job as a house-sitter. This results in her acquiring a canine as a roommate. The dog, Lotus, has some odd habits, but instantly bonds with Maria and proves to be very protective.
The small town seems safe enough at first, but Maria soon learns that there is a bear on the loose and that the police have found the body of slaughtered man nearby. Meanwhile, Maria has problems of her own as Jeff, her ex, is doing everything he can to "keep in touch".
Has Maria really found the safety she's been seeking or will her new fierce protector prove to be more dangerous than anyone would dare to guess?
Come out and be the first to see these two films before they hit the festival circuit. Meet the cast and crew, be a part of a special Q&A for each film and buy some Indie movie related material you might not be able to find anywhere else. Genre legend Debbie Rochon will be on hand for photos and to meet the fans. We're even working on some contests with prizes and some special giveaways. We'll also have some trailers for upcoming films and so much more. A great evening of Indie films and so much more, all for the special price of...FREE!!!!
