Moore DEEPER
November 15, 2008
by Greg Lamberson
Look at that cover! I've always been a sucker for CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON-type stories, and James A. Moore's Deeper, soon to be published as a mass market paperback by Berkley, is a doozey. But don't take my word for it--refresh your memory by reading Norman Rubenstein's Macabre Musings on Necessary Evil's original Limited Edition of this fishy tale.
Finshed?
Now double click on that cover image and feast your watery eyes on the blurb above the title. I believe this is the first time a Fear Zone review has been quoted on the cover of a mass market book, and I know it's the first time that we've received such spectacular placement. But this isn't about us...
Congratulations to Jim Moore for scoring a well deserved publishing deal for this fine horror adventure tale, which deserves to reach a wide audience. We'll post details as we receive them!

1. Holy shit, that's friggin' cool as hell! That blurb looks mighty good over that stunning cover. Cobgrats to both FearZone and Jim!

2. I think it's the coolest looking cover I've seen in a long time. I'm not really familiar with Berkley as a horror publisher.

3. Yes, the cover is stunning - and the Blurb - Well, I'm tickled ... aquamarine at being so honored. Hurrah to both Jim Moore and to Fear Zone!
Best,
Norm Rubenstein

4. Big congrats to Big Jim Moore. Another fine looking book.
Cool about the Fearzone quote on the cover! Now if only someone would quote Cinema Knife Fight on a DVD package!
