Contest: SLIME for the Holidays!
December 18, 2008
by Greg Lamberson
I was doing a google-vanity search for new reviews of my 1988 film SLIME CITY when I discovered that a group called Creep Street was selling a Slime City T-shirt. With my investigative insticts aroused, I checked out the colorful shirt's ad copy and discovered that they were using the old "Tibetan yogurt" as a selling point. I told them it's supposed to be "Himmalayan yogurt," and we hatched a scheme to benefit Fear Zone readers, just in time for the holidays.
We'd like all interested parties to write a caption to go along with the shirt and post it as a comment under this blog. The winner will receive a free Slime City T-shirt courtesy of Creep Street; we'll pick the winning selection in time for New Year's Day.

To further celebrate the holidays--or to fund my daughter's Christmas--I'm running a sale on related SLIME merchandise through Valentine's Day:
Get a signed SLIME CITY DVD (also featuring NAKED FEAR) for only $7.00 + $3.00 s&h;
and the 20th Anniversary SLIME CITY Soundtrack CD for $10.00 + $3.00 s&h
Other gifts in the Slime Store ideal for horror fans this holiday season include:
The Gruesome Rock CD based on JOHNNY GRUESOME
The Johnny Gruesome Death Mask
and the Limited Edition hardcover of Personal Demons.

1. Ah, screw it... it's late, I'm tired and my head is empty. Can't we just skip the part with the caption and you send me a shirt anyway? C'mon, YOU CRAZY BASTARD!! :D

2. "With a shirt like this, not even Lori could resist you!" Well, not exactly a work of genius, but at least it's a caption, so all I need to do now is cross my fingers that noone else takes part in the contest and I got a cool new shirt. Groovy. ;)

3. I'm but a simple boy so I'm gonna say simply, "Got Slime?"

4. SLIME CITY: It's Not Just For Breakfast Anymore
or
SLIME CITY:
Come for the slime
Stay for the deformed murderous monsters

5. Argh, too many rivals. Where's Zack when you need him!? ;) Anyway, here's another try "Take me down to New York City, where the slime is green and the yoghurt sticky." Though one could of course argue that in post-"Chinese Democracy" times it's better not to make any references to Guns N' Roses at all... ;)

8. Are you taking multiple entries?
If so, I might also add:
Slime or be slimed!
OR
I got killed in Slime City and all I got was this lousy shirt.
And if you don't take multi's than just chalk it up as a guy who had too much eggnogg on too little sleep.

9. I would go for the classic..."The slime must be appeased!"
