Media Blasters Releases SLIME CITY MASSACRE on DVD
From Greg Lamberson:

It may be hard to believe, but just two years ago, in June of 2009, I was knee deep in pre-production on my new film SLIME CITY MASSACRE, sequel to SLIME CITY (1988). During this past year, the film has won several awards: The Biggest Baddest Mother of the PollyGrind; Best Actress for Debbie Rochon at the Eerie Horror Film Festival; Best Actor for Kealan Patrick Burke at the PollyGgrind; Best Scream Queen for Brooke Lewis at at the B Movie Celebration; and the Polished Apple Award for Best Sequel.

SCM has also received rave reviews from Bloody-Disgusting, Dread Central, HorrorYearbook, Wildside Cinema, The Blood SPrayer, Rogue Cinema, and other major horror websites. Debbie Rochon, a true champion of the film, has written articles on the film which have been published in FANGORIA and the Phantom of the Movies' VIDEOSCOPE, and the Gore-Met's preview of the film appeared in the pages of RUE MORGUE.

In this day and age, with DVD companies refusing to acquire indie horror titles, or refusing to advertise those they do acquire, SLIME CITY MASSACRE has had quite a run in its short life. And now, finally, it's available on DVD!

Shriek Show, an imprint of Media Blasters, has released SLIME CITY MASSACRE as a 2-disc DVD jam packed with extras: commentary track by myself, Debbie, co-star Jennifer Bihl, SFX guru Rod Durick, and casting director Michael O'Hear; a feature length documentary, SLIME CITY SURVIVOR; additional behind-the-scenes footage; bloopers; a photo gallery; and the trailer.

IGNORE the data on Amazon.com which says this is a single disc DVD! That's an error which has not been corrected for some reason. All copies of SCM are 2 discs!

We've already had successful DVD signings at Forbidden Planet in NYC, Dark Delicacies in Burbank, and Talking Leaves Books in Buffalo. Last Sturday, SLIME CITY nand SLIME CITY MASSACRE played as a double feature at Saturday Nightmares in New Jersey, with Debbie Rochon and Roy Frumkes doing a Q&A, and in September, I'll be joined by SFX aces Rod Durick and RJ Sevin for a special "live commentary" screening at Horror Realm in Pittsburgh.

Even more exciting - a special limited theatrical release for the film is now in the works.
