Here's the latest poster for SAW VI, the latest entry in this decade's most prolific horror franchise.

Confession: I've never seen a SAW film, even though several friends have told me I MUST see the first one.

I did sit next to Tobin Bell at Rue Morgue's Festival of Fear a couple of weeks ago; his line was much longer than mine, but I signed PERSONAL DEMONS ashcans for people in both lines. Didn't meet the man, but I did overhear someone say, "Tobin is just as strange in person as he is in the movies!"

It's hard to think of a film I hated more than ROB ZOMBIE'S HALLOWEEN, and yet I am strangely nonplussed about this sequel, which is not a remake of Richard Rosenthal's John Carpenter-produced HALLOWEEN 2, but an entirely new film that should set Zombie free creatively. As much as the original HALLOWEEN remains a classic, I didn't like any of the sequels (although I considered 2 and H20 watchable).

While I'm certainly not looking forward to the film, I am looking forward to its release on August 28th. I profess to being torn about this one; it sounds really cool, and like a lot of hard work into it... but it also sounds like one more project based on the work of George Romero and John Russo that neither gentleman will ever see a dime on. It just doesn't seem right to me. But maybe I'm wrong. In any case, I'll let you make up your own minds:
